This 98 Convert belongs to one of my customers. Seems he went out and bought a bunch of 56-57 88s and 98 convertibles. This one needed a little loving so he decided to have a little fun with it. We treated it to a front suspension, engine and trans swap, air ride, vintage air etc. While we were at it, we dressed up the engine compartment and firewall and made some skirts. He should have some fun cruising around with it this spring.

some GM late 50's inspired styling on the air cleaner. went for the GM design studio look.

That thing is killer! I'm always on the fence about if a convertible takes away from the lines of the car or not but I think those skirts help alot. That will be a blast to cruise on those hot summer nights.

The skirts really integrate the shape of the side trim beautifully. Is the lower portion stainless, or how did you get that look?

Engine is a bit modern for my personal taste but the workmanship looks top notch and I can always appreciate that as well. Thanks for sharing the pics.

we made the trim that connects the front fender to the rocker trim, the rocker trim itself and the one piece skirt. It will get polished and look like it could have been OE.

Beautiful! It will look like it is just floating down the street.

No you're not! I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering if his customer was Santa. That would be cool to cruise around in wearing a Santa suit.

Thanks Guys, The Oldsmobile is already a great design, we just tried to tie all of the original trim pieces into each other for continuity.
