Hey rodders, never posted here before I'm a panhead harley guy, not a car guy. There is some crossover and I've read this forum before. Y'all sound like a decent bunch! Here's the dilemma: my bud has brain cancer ( not good) he's got a street rod ,entirely keyless , all locks and windows controlled by a fob. His wife calls me, she moved car from one garage to another and locked car with both fobs in car. No hidden ****on outside of car that we can find. There is a ****on under dash , but I can't even see it . She called manufacturer of system, they said good luck. I can't remember name of manufacturer. My bud isn't much help right now. Any advice for her? The car is put up for winter so it's not urgent , just can't bring myself to believe we have to smash a window out of his baby. Thanks. Jeff
Anyway to pry the door open enough the get a coat hangar or a stick in there to hit the release ****on? What kind of car is it? That info would probably go a long way in getting some ideas. I can't believe that someone would build a keyless entry system into his car without someway to get in it without the fob. If not a ****on, maybe a pull cable, or a way into the trunk?
one of the bladder bags you install between the door and the body and inflate to give the clearance to reach something in there and pop it.
It's a gl*** bodied 41( I think ) Chevy on a late model vette ch***is. I can't even see the ****ons under the dash to pop the ****on. There may be a " hidden " ****on somewhere , but I can't find it , and he's in no shape to tell. I'm checking with other buddies . He's buily many cars and does most of his own work, but someone will know where it is, if there is one. The car is fine, locked up isn't hurtin a thing, his wife was( is) just upset . Thought I'd try to get a quick answer for her. I appreciate your responses. I'll keep trying . Maybe the painter .......
