Built right here in the town I live in, and in the body shop of the dealership I manage today - 40 feet from where I am sitting - just 50 or so years too late (or too early!)
I'd like to note that 14" wheels were a selling point on that 36 Ford roadster, something that today you'd get laughed at for using (at best). Also note that the X51 Ford runs pinner white walls with the Olds Fiesta hubcaps. Fun to daydream about but also very informative from a historical standpoint. The '47 Ford convertible is a stunner and would easily be my first choice, although I'd be kinda pissed that they're selling it without an engine! Seems like that was somewhat common back then, to sell a car but keep the engine like some guys want to keep the battery out of everything they sell.
I remember this car very well ! Always loved it !! Still have the R&C Issue that it's featured in !!! Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net
This is the cl***ified ad to my 34 5w I am building, somewhere around 1992 or so. Previous owner kept the ad, thought it was cool, since that is the only history on the car that I have.
