The Baddest 40-41 ford pickup

    Who here has the Baddest,meanest,bone shaking 1940-41 ford pickup,anyone know?I have a built 40 pickup with a 350 chevy engine and want to drop my 454 chevy in it.Anyone here has that combo? Exterminator

    1941 shop truck i built.468 bbc ,th 350 9 inch rear 3;70 gear.motor makes about 450 hp.

    I used a reversed corvair box mounted on top of the rail for side steering.the big block will dictate a healthy front spring.i had to add leaves to mine to get it right.

    Is that a 302 with FE valve covers? That's a nice,clean truck...well done.

    I like the red one.

    Carrying kegs in a hot rod would just shake up the beer. Nobody wants foamy, then flat, beer.

    I will have my 40 put here tomorrow by my wife.Was on here for sale recently.Decided to keep it.

    Good move on keeping the ride. They are starting to get pricey to buy. Did you keep the stock frt suspension?

    Basicly yes.Axle has a 2 inch drop .

    Yes.thats it.Built it in the late eighties so it is dated now.

    I pulled all that and went to a MII. If I had to do it again I would have left the front end alone and dropped it. Then gone with a hopped up flatty. But went the other way...

    Still looks cl***y from what I could see...The big block will definitely ****e things up! Any concerns over the added front end weight?

    Your ride will be smoother then mine.We have bad roads around here so i get beat up slightly when crusing but oh well.Don't mine that much.

    Oh yeah on that big block.Had it my 56 big window when i traded the 56 to get my forty back and then missed that motor so i was able to buy it back.Always felt like a kid driving that big block.I like your truck -will make a nice hot rod.
