    Hi Guys,

Does anybody know the electrical resistance of the fuel gauge of a 57 Olds 88 ? I bought a new gas tank unit, but the gauge still does not show it right. My mechanic said he could fix it, if he knows the resistance. There´s nothin in my shop amnual about it. All what´s shown there is a tester from back of the days, which I don´t have, of course !
    Many thanks !

How far off is it, if it's not too much, none of these gauges were very accurate. Usually its an alert to start looking for a gas station! G.M. used a magnetic coil type of system for many years, you might try another gauge just to check your sending unit. How is the weather? Guten tag!

    Hi Mike,
thanks for answering. I know, these gauges are not that exact. When the tank is empty, the gauge shows 1/4 full. And when it´s 3/4 full the gauge shows complete full. What source could tell me what the resitance is ? If nobody knows it from the H.A.M.B., may be someone knows a source for it.
The weather ?? --- Bad ! 27 degrees and snowing. Thank god I´m leaving for the Caribean in 3 weeks.
    You know german ????
