even tho you sold it, you deserve the credit. i hope you find it. i dont think its cool some one getting credit for your work.

 

I am sure someone Hamb member will be able to give location information if you keep the post within a couple of pages from the front. looks like a really neat ride.

I have seen the HAMB solve questions almost before the questioner clears his screen, I have seen stolen cars get recovered before the cops even got close, All over the US and a lot of other places. I know somewhere out there these 2 cars are still around, but even with the eyes and ears of all the people on HAMB it has been nearly a year with no one seeing either one of the cars I am looking for.

kinda like expecting Super man to rescue Lois Lane when she is falls off the top floor of the news paper building.... except this time he ain't there.

i have one of them caddy 502 engines resting in a 54 right now, dad said i could use that engine for my project. were you happy with the caddy?

 

when I built that car, I took a 502 and starting with powdercoating the new machined block and heads, My partner built the engine with EVERYTHING new,
we started it and got it running before I was actually thru with everything else.
When I finally started driving the car I was totally disappointed in the motor, should have been a tire fryin' fool, but I never could get it to spin a tire unless I Power braked it and then had to floor the gas and it would not spin more than a car length.
Yeah, I know, why do that to a custom, It is basically the best way I can tell how bad it really was.
I think my partner got the Cam off a tooth or 2, he swore it was right though. car ran ok, but just was nowhere near what that cubic inches should have been in that light a car

At that time (1995) I was building as fast as I could keep up, there was always something bigger, better, and faster ahead, Nowdays, I really wish I had kept it.

Sounds like it is time for you to build another one. Yea i have sold cars that I wish I never sold. Even had the guy that bought my custom extended cab 32 pu in Michigan send me a article about the Detroit Autorama saying how he built it,LOL. Yea it's ******** they do that but once you sell a car it is GONE,time to move on and start over.

Which one was supposed to be in Fl. The hood looks familiar to me but Im not sure. I usually go to Sumpter county swap meet. That could be where I remember a hood with openings that looked close to that.

 

I have no Idea where the 49 Chevy is, but was told the 52 is supposedly in Florida.
