If so, have you kept it bone stock or modified it for more reliability and more power? Do they make an adapter to run a T5 or similar stick to keep the revs down on the highway? I've got my mind set on one and want to use it toit's fullest potential.
I wouldn't think "reliability" would be much of a concern in an engine that was designed to run hour after hour at almost full throttle and under heavy loads. Performance improvements are well do***ented both here and in old publications.
My Buddy Vince Norton, Went 211 MPH on the Salt with one, and he drove it every day down there if that counts, Very tough motor. Buffalo, in Seattle, makes an adapter for them that he used to put a Muncie behind it. Chris
The engine is a 56 302 GMC inline 6,Venolia 9.25 forged pistons,3/4 hot cam, small block V-8 valves and springs, home made tube headers,400 cfm Carter AFB,balanced,HEI ignition, much more, runs very smooth and powerful but does require premium fuel.Camaro 5 speed transmission,Hayes clutch etc. This truck runs straight down the road, handles better than most ,the ride is firm and controlled, not bouncy or harsh, can cruise all day at 70 mph,2100 rpm. Fellow HAMBER "Truckedup" built the truck. I've had it for over four years now and run 52,000 miles plus under the wheels. It's the daily driver.
Hey Harleycontractor, I did a search for subneil and came up empty.do he have another handle on here? I'm not wanting to go balls out, I just want something with **** loads of torque, and reliable enough for the wife to drive it without me having to stress everytime she takes it out.
