You will probably have trouble with the input shaft not being long enough to engage the pilot bushing. The trucks used a different bell which was deeper than the p***enger car. At least with the V-8's thats the way. The only way to know for sure is to measure the two. Thats an easy trans to pull, just slide yours back and get out the ruler.Watch out for input diameter as well as they look the same but there are different sizes in increments of 1/16. The t-85 should be 1 1/16. Your truck may even have the 1 3/8 (flathead size) input. That part is easy though, just get the right disc.Check the front bearing retainer also as there different sizes there too. Again you just gotta compare 'em. Good luck
Thanks. Still kickin' myself for not checking all that stuff when I put it together. I have an R10 OD in the truck now. It is from a car I think. Small diameter input with more than 10 splines. Again...didn't check before I put it all together. Need to pull it for a new clutch soon anyway.... so will figure it out for sure then. OD is awesome! I'm tackin' about 2100 rpm at 65-70 mph!
Correction... It has the 1 3/8" 10 spline input shaft with the long tail shaft. But it is now officially broken! Had to pull it. Opened it up and found teeth broken off the reverse and input gears. Now it's time to get serious about the T85N!
