Would like to change the front seat in my 48 Ford convert. I have the stock seat in it now. Looking for something that still looks right, is a couple of inches shorter & is more comfortable.
Any ideas, pictures would be great.

Sorry I don't have pics. handy but I used a split bench from a 1980 Monte Carlo. I fabbed the mounts, but the seat fit great and was comfortable. I found one that didn't have a fold down arm rest and did it in tuck and roll so it looked like it belonged in the car.

68 El Camino. Fits good, looks good. Its thinner and not so much couch like. You will
have to build some 3"-4" spacers for it to sit on.

A popular swap some time back was to use a 78-85 Riviera, Eldo, Toronado front seats. They are supposed to be a perfect fit.

Thanks for the responses, anyone with pictures?

  9. Why don't you just refoam it. On the seat for my Texas beater I removed all the springs and used the foam off a junkyard seat. Just cut it to fit. Hell of a lot more comfortable. Sorry no pics
