I figure a electric push fan in front of radiator will have to be the solution or cut the core support and move/ french for lack of a better term the radiator into it only need about an inch or so more

The 200 6 from 1979, and up Mustangs, and fairmonts also has the same bell housing bolt pattern, but the two upper bolts are in a slightly different position than the 302 V8 bellhousing

    X2

The 250's have the intergral head like it's "smaller brothers". The Aussie 250's had a separate intake.

All the info you need is right here http://www.fordsix.com/

  3. If the Falcon is a Sprint you should put a V8 in it. I just finished the same car and a 302 or 289 fits in there nicely. You will need motor mounts (2 piece) and correct bell housing, several choices on transmission, then a driveshaft to match your rear end. Let me know if you need any parts as I've got plenty as I just finished mine.

cool car then and now --if the six is no good put a v8 back in it--makes a really fun ride---good luck with it

  5. Cool car. don't do what I did to a perfectly fine sprint 260 V8 convert. and stuff a bronco frame under it w/ a 300 six. way too much butchering goes into it.

Looks nice and easy to get back roadworthy. I want a 250 for my more door.

If the Falcon was originally a 260 car, it should already have a desirable 8" Ford rear end and five bolt wheels.

If it's not broke, don't mess with it!

I've allways wanted to do a 300 falcon theres only about an inch differance in lengh between a 170 and a 300 from back of block water pump fan mount. Be carful jacking up you car with out front shocks. The shock holds the lower spring mount straight I have seen where the spring kicked out without a shock.

I have a friend who put a 250 with a 3 speed manual in his 64 Falcon 4 door using a 74 Maverick as a donor car (engine, trans, etc). It was pratically a bolt in deal.

  12. I have some parts if you need anything. Cheap for HAMB members with Falcons.

I'm with 63Sprintconvertible. I have plenty of six cylinder parts laying around. Suspension, rears, etc. I live in Harrisburg, PA so not far from Maryland. Shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can help you with. I'm with 63Sprintconvertible, may be easier to go back to v8 then to figure out the 6 cyl swap stuff. If it was an original v8 car, it should be 5 lug all the way around. No 4 lug was offered with a v8 in a falcon.
