its a 4 door sedan but looked to very solid. i saw it sitting for sale down the road from me and tooka quick look at it. he was asking 1900 for it. The car is about 4 blocks west of mound road on 16 mile on the north side. I have nothing to do with this car just thought some one might want to know about it. Allso know where there is a 53 ford 4 door for sale for 500 that runs pm for details on that but im not saying on here where its at. Bryan
get a pic of the Poncho, i'd like to see it. it sounds pricey for a 4 door but i guess if it's nice enough??? anyway, mostly just curious. i don't need another project right now.
Gay Michigan Bitches if its still out there tommrow ill grab a pic. i thought it was a bit much to for a four door but it looks to me all complete and preety solid. kinda looks like a 31 ford with a bit more style.
it all stemmed from a little "fued" Germ and I had going a loooong time ago. i don't even remember what it was about. it was something stupid i'm sure. anyway. the rest of the Michigan Yahoos thought it was funny and adopted it as their/our official nickname (or whatever you want to call it). so now you know.
I'd love to see a photo of it. I was dealing on a running, factory V/8 1932 Pontiac 4 door but it was just a little more spendy than $1900. The guy was asking $11,000. I believe all 31's had inline flatheads in 'em but Oaklands were available with the flathead V/8. In late 31, Pontiac bought Oakland and the V/8 engine came with the deal. Pontiac used it and improved on it for their own cars in '32. Times were tough then and 6 and 4 cylinder cars were outselling the big engined cars.........plus, Pontiac sold the V/8 cars at a loss because the engine was too costly to manufacture. They dropped it for 33 and didn't offer another V/8 until 55. The 31 and 32 Pontiacs had a great looking front end. Very classy with the split grille and big headlights. I'd love to build one with a 389, 4 speed. The biggest problem with 31 Pontiacs is the wooden inner body structure. The body is basically built from a wooden framing with sheetmetal tacked over it. When the wood goes bad, the body falls down. These photos are of '32 Pontiacs. The 31 looks the same with the exception of 31 having permanent sun visors like model A fords...
Ewwwwwwwwww I likey those! Just gotta keep repeating Wisconsin Warrior Wisconsin Warrior Wisconsin Warrior......... xxx Brandy
Not sure if this is a Pontiac or not, but it looks similar and it's definitely not a Ford with those parallel front leaves. I think PonchoRunner needs to pick this car up - finally put his money where his mouth is!
Germ coined the phrase about two years ago when Hatch photoshopped a photo of a nakked guy on a motorcyle that Germ posted, into the back of HotRodDrummer's P/U. At least that's how I remember it. I do miss Germ
ok now i know what it means. As fare as gayness gose around here I think plow boy and some of those guys a more gay than us though. bret
I'll admit it's pretty close on who's gayer but I have yet to see Plowboy and his posse in fur coats, prancing around, and pretending to sing into wine cooler bottles.
Ok, I know were gettin' OT here but just to clear this up... A long. long time ago I had posted a photo of Hot Rod Drummer's fake patinaed pickup, and mentioned how cool it looked, as did alot of other Michigan HAMBers. Some people disagreed, one being Germ. He got off on a rant about how "gay" us "Michigan Bitches" were for falling all over the truck just 'cause we're all from Michigan. This thread went on for a long while. Not able to leave well enough alone, I ran with it.
Ew that man with the red fur coat has IMPECCABLE taste! If I buy the Ponch will someone throw the coat in? xxx Brandy
HAHA he is just a stand in gmb thats peterpan of chicago the guy who striped my car that you love so much. so now u better bow down to him but i like how the susage goes with the coat . I didnt get a chance to head near the car yet all the rest of my travels lead me away from it all weekend. But on a side note i did get to go to the henry ford museum for the first time!
