600cfm vaccume secondary holley carbs would work nice, 450's and 500's are too small and the vac. Secondarys wont force feed the engine, it will only give it what it needs.

600 CFM carbs on a cross ram is equivelent to a 1,200 CFM carb on a 180 degree/dual plane manifold.

Exactly the way mine was, I only had to bump the primaries up a couple sizes and the 3.5 PV's and get the linkage and idle stops exactly the same, and it was a bear for throttle response- actual experience, not "oughta be". Great driveability, and the howl from the carbs anywhere above 3500 was something
With your compression, cam, and intended usage, I wouldn't even waste time with some vac carbs, just amp it up- mileage isn't a consideration. Drop the gears down a bit and hang on :D

I would run it if you want too. Lots of Mopar guys run them on Max Wedges and Hemi's. I thought about one on my 63 Plymouth but cash is tight right now and it seems a nice modern single carb intake and good size carb will make more power so I run the Indy dual plane and it works great. But I see alot of guys running crossrams and they say they have no problems once they dail it in. And it does have a great WoW factor. Ron

go for it! They work well but it takes time to get it dialed in.

Sure thing Tommy, We brought our front engine a/fuel car up there last year but didn't get to make a pass. What a badass event though. We also go up and mess around at some of the shows in Pigeon Forge, really just a weekend BS session.

I ran on on a hot SBC 350 on an OT Malibu (69) back in the 80's. Two Holley 390's. Worked fairly well. If I had the tuning skills and tech that I have now, I'd bet it would be a real screamer. The car was crap, but I wish I still had the manifold.
