Just taking a little time out, to recognize a guy I admire. Click below to read about it. http://slackerfarms.blogspot.com
Oh damn Root....so strange that you would bring this up right now at this exact moment... Today, I leave my job of 11 years to start a company of my own creation. I have to park my beloved Model A that has been my daily driver for the last 17 years to drive my shitty old 64 Ford truck to cut my fuel bill from 600 dollars per month to something more reasonable. My company should be able to live on its own very soon and if so, the Model A will be back to terrorizing the quiet little town of Charleston SC... But in the mean time, I am whipping together a 36 Ford shop truck as cheap as I can to have something to drive that isn't too stupid looking... Thanks for the kind words and if my new shop truck is ready for the drags this year, I'll spot you a carlength. See ya, -Abone.
This is the '36 that mysteriously showed up in my backyard not long ago.... I hope to have her running by late summer or so... Thanks again, Root. -Abone.
I have lurked here WAY more than Ive posted but Im with Roothawg. You build some SWEET cars... Long live FLAMEDABONE!
Actually there two great guys in this post. The one who started the post and the one who is the subject of the post. I have always wished that I could spend more time with each of you. John
Yes sir Root,Jeff is undoubtedly one of the most talented car builders in South Carolina that nobody ever heard of,,unless you are a Hamber and you already know he drives his hot rods hard and can take a pile of parts that nobody wants and turn it into a bitchin Hot Rod in record time. And as mentioned earlier in this thread,,the original poster is a first class guy also! HRP
