Shoebox - 51 Grill or 50 Grill - Which do you like better

I like them all - shoeboxes for ever!

 

I prefer the 49 grill because of the simple clean lines with the marker lights incorporated as a part of the "spear" I would say the 51 is my next choise because of the balanced look the two bullits and the strait hood lip. The 50 to me is kind of cluttered because of the new indicator light position below the centre spear. Just my thoughts.

The 49-50 bulletnose grill is the definitive shoebox look for me.

 

51 hood and grille with 49 parking lights

 

In my oppinion, the best would be a mix of 49, 50 and 51. The bullet nose, rounded upper barr and lid from the 49, the two bullets from the 51 to support the fod lights and integration of the 49 trafic lights in the 50/51 horizontal barr which surrounds the front fender towards the wheelwells.

If some strange expressions in the text, thats because I'm French (without being recessed !)

I thought about changing the grille & hood back to '50 (the car is a '50), but it would be a lot of money, and this look is growing on me. '51 hood with '54 Chevy grille. Hey, this is an old thread!

 

The 50 Ford grill does it for me. HRP

 

I'm partial to the '50.

 

But loose the baby Dagmars off the '51 grill bar.
