I am running 2 600 Holleys on a tunnel ram intake. My question is I have heard of people restricting the idle circuit in the metering block with a small piece of wire. .010 or so Does anyone out there know which holes these are. Can tou shoot me a pic.? Thanks in advance... homeychromey69@yahoo.com

The Holley tech lines very good, give them a call. I dont know if I would be sticking pieces of wire in my carbs!

  3. This has been done, as you say, to restrict the idle mixture.

This is technique is described in the book "Super Tuning and Modifying Holley Carburetors" by Dave Emanuel.

On page 101 it discusses this modification in relation to a Holley 4500 when fitted as a pair on a race engine.
