I posted this in the wrong place so I'm trying again, hopefully I've done it right this time!!!!I just added some pictures of this in "introductions" and got a great suggestion to look here for info. Anyone recognize this car from the late 60's, and 70's? Its been parked and covered in Honolulu since 1978.

  4. I will be taking to my buddy later today I know he will know all about it, if it was built in Honolulu. If you can, tell me what area of Honolulu it was found in.

I think it was built in California, but tooled around Honolulu in the mid-70's. I'm told it had a colorful history, once owned by a Ponzi scheme person who went to jail and then did himself in. It was stored near the university.

The car was actually given to me by my wife's friend who had received it as collateral 34 years ago. They recently sold the house where it was sitting so it needed to go. Nice freebie, now I'll probably spend about $25K to make it real pretty and blinged out:) My plan is to take it down to the frame and then have everything powder coated. Will then rebuild it with new discs on the front, and some nice fat tires on the back. All of the wire wheels are corroded beyond repair so I'll find some nice polished mags. In Hawaii I'll need to use as much stainless steel as I can find since chrome just does not last. (its also not available here anymore) When done it will should be better than its former glory except for the chrome. (I can tell that at one time all of the undercarraige was chromed which must have looked great!) This will be a fun project over the next few years. Everything looks pretty simple so should be easy, just lots of time.
