Welcome Alcopop, that user name is very appropriate for a guy with a Ford Popular... There is tons of info here, don't forget to save relevant photos to a file for later scrutiny.
welcome fellow ute lover ! if i can find a "ute " over here in the states ?i can follow along with you on your build !! keep the pics coming ! mike "carryallman"
G'day there Alcopop, welcome to the HAMB. I've got a late 70 XW GT - it's got a 351C, close ratio top-loader, manual steering, factory air. It's basically a stocker (not resto, more survivor). I've also got a number of other cars, some of which are HAMB friendly. You won't get too many guys here all that 'hot' about the XW or any newer than 65 muscle though, so don't sweat it. This is pretty strictly 65 or earlier hot rods or customs built in a traditional style. You've come to a great place - Anglia's aren't all that common, but I'm sure you'll find some other guys here who have, or know about them. Any questions you have, or ideas you want opinions on (and there are a million opinions here on the HAMB) - you need to post in a thread over on the Message Board, as this is just the Intros page, and not that many epople spend too much time here, except to say G'day. BTW, where is Helensburgh? I grew up in Melbourne and have lived in Perth for the past 20 years, and don't recognise the name. Anyway, enjoy your time here - I'm sure you'll spend plenty of it here. Cheers.
