I'm new here on this site. I was told to do a build thread so I hope this I right. I just got the truck and I stripped it to the frame and now I'm in the middle of c notching the frame and flipping rear axel. Here's the truck and my progress.

Are you sure you want mono leafs? I do not have any experience with them but several guys that I know have installed them on their F100s and have not been happy with the ride. A friend of mine lowered my F100 and used the stock springs with some mods. On the fronts he removed a middle leaf and had the eyes reversed. He also moved the front upper shock mount up 3 inches which allows you to use stock shocks. On the rears (depending on condition of the springs) he flipped the rear leaf spring shackle which brings the spring eye up. If you want to see some pictures here is the build link.....

Mono leafs ride terrible..... ask me how I know. Reverse the eyes and removing one leaf up front with a Sids 3" axle will give you a great ride and a nice drop. Posies is also set to release a twin-spring duel leaf set up for 57-60 trucks similiar to the one they do for 48-51 and 52-56 F-Series

I had a sids axle with tie rod extensions before I bagged mine. Curious you look like you have some welding and fab skills from seeing your notch why not put jag or camero front clip in and get power steering disc brakes lower truck and independent suspension for better handling. A clip and a junk yard is prob around 500 bucks pretty close to a drop a le and tie rod extensions. Just a thought it makes a HUGE difference

Plent of threads on here with jag swaps

Thanks for the help,ok scratch the mono spings! I'm new to all this, it is my first truck build. But I've already sent my axel to SIDS for a 3 inch drop so it's to late for a different front end but I'm tryin to get it as low as I can with a decent ride. Thanks again!!

The yellow 59 has a 3" Sids drop axle and one leaf removed with reversed eyes. The gold and white truck has a M2 kit

Make sure you get tie rod extensions with the 3 inch drop axle or you will be pissed and have to figure out how to fab some

My next project is a 60, gonna be a budget junkyard dog build. I have been doing quite a bit of pondering and measuring to put a Ford Aerostar front under it. Cheap or free, only an inch wider than the F100, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering. Then flip the front spring mount to lower the rear and use a 3.73 L Exploder rear.

yes, if you did not take any leafs out you should be fine....

Stainless Steel Windshield trim is not reproduced that i know of. you will need to find it used.

You can use the stock shocks but you will have to remove the mount and relocate it up 3 inches.

Any updates on the build?? Did you reverse the eyes on the front? Have a 58 and would like to see your stance..
