Anyone know for sure what this is? It came in a box of 66 Corvette parts. Any help would be appreciated. May not even be to a Corvette.
    Thanks.

Looks more like something that woulds support a hood when opened. You can see the sliding catch. I can't tell you it came from your vette though.

Not a mid year. Mid year locked when it was lifted and then had to be lifted again to unlock it allowing it to close. Dennis D

Well, after ME saying something stupid (straight out of my *** without thinking), it's not a "mid-year" support (I still own a '65 and have owned most of the others in the past). Looks like Vet65te is right...77-82-ish. Dime a dozen! '77-'82 pictured below. DD

DD - After looking at all these parts for a while, they all start to look alike. I used to have a 78 but still had to scan the vendors catalogs to make sure what year it might be. I see you have a 65 365 A/C Vette, rare car with what, just a bit over 200 made that year? Rare indeed.

Yup Mike, kinda rare...227 built. This one is pretty-well optioned, too. Sold new in Beaumont, Tx. I've owned it over 26 years. DD
