    I purchased the following intake manifold to replace my old "cracked" one and had a few questions regarding the configuration.

    The attached pic displays 2 threaded holes (red arrows) located on the outside of the 2 center mounting holes, my old intake also has these 2 threaded holes, however they are not plugged!
    It appears the 2 two threaded holes are sealed simply by the intake gasket on the old intake!

    Question(s):

    1. Should these 2 threaded holes be plugged, what are my options?
    2. What is the purpose of these 2 threaded holes?

  2. Those holes are an acc mounting point, no need to cap them.

    Rod is correct...those are for the upper A/C bracket. They go nowhere and leaving them open will not affect anything.:)

    I'd cap them with a push-in ****on or a short bolt just to finish them off and keep dirt from settling in.

    On mine they are used to mount those clamps to hold wiring harness to the alt on one side and water temp sending unit on the other
