8an fuel line to 6an

    i installed a new fuel cell , the cell has a 8an male fitting. i need to reduce it down to 6an for my fuel pump. its a 350/330HP fuel pump is a mr. gasket micro 12s, anyone think i'll have a problem with doing this?
     
  2. not a problem...no Hp or performance loss....fittings are readily available

    No problem. A 6 will supply way more way more than your engine needs, and there are no technical reasons why the reduction could be an issue. If you wanted to run 8 to the pump and ruduce there it would be theoretically better, but in reality it isn't going to matter where you step it down.

    Are you going to install a filter, between the cell and the pump?

    No problem. I did the exact thing. I changed out the -8 fitting instead of using a reducer. A reducer would be just fine though.
