Can anybody tell what width the white wall is on these front tires? Any guess at the size? I want to get a set as close as possible and looking for input.

They have to be 14" as that is the wheels I have.

I'd say about a sixteenth of an inch but my computer monitor may be larger or smaller than yours. :D

Seriously. They look to be about an 1" wide.

looks like 1" or 1-1/4". If those are 14s, my best guess is 7.50x14, from what I recall from working in a recap shop in the later 60s.

however, it does seem more like a 15" wheel in the pic. If it was, it might have been the old 7.10x15". They changed the numbers through the 60s, some crossed to what sounded like a much bigger tire, like 8.10 etc, but fit the same recap molds of much smaller numbers

    1" for a 14" tire....yeah I agree with F&J about a 7.50 or so.......I have two that are 1" Firestone...

  5. I cannot give you real numbers on your tire, I ran 7.50 or 7.00x15 on my Ford when I raced it in the late '60s with the standard skinny whites. Those two sizes were real popular with the low buck gas cl*** crowd.
