Let them flame. Your interior rocks. End of discussion.

My upholstery guy who did my f100 quoted me $800-$900 for front seat back seat all door and kick panels on my 1950 shoebox. Headliner and carpet would be maybe additional $400

Thats entire vehicle under $1500 and he's good in my book

My car is far from perfect, and I can never afford to spend thousands on an interior. A local guy (friend) did my seat and I will do most of the rest myself. . Just bought headliner material $26.00, and may sew it up myself. You can buy material for less than $10.00 a yard and do the job over and over until you are happy with it. My total interior cost will not exceed $500.00. Have Fun, that is why we are doing this isn't it?

    Perfect solution right there....

Afterall, isn't building cars all about building...doing everything yourself, to the extent possible, can't be a bad thing...

    It's fun, in fact.

I am thinking the best self taught pros did it this way. A bit frustrating if there is nobody right there to teach..but..

  9. I get asked that all the time. Builders say you MUST box and reinforce the frame. Other than a GM A-body frame stub attached at the firewall, the frame is 100% stock. The doors never pop open, they never bind. It's been like this for over 20 years.

Talk to RJ at Garza Upholstery on Valley Blvd in the City of Industry, (626) 333-7214. They've been around for 50? years. Put a top on my Buick for half the other estimates I got -- and it was done right!!
