I keep seeing these posts on here about how the youngin's just aren't "into the hobby" Well ladies and gents, for your approval is this video of my 4 year old son taking his second ride (in a row, I couldn't even get video fo the first one because he was so excited he coulnd't do anything but giggle and say "imma go REALLY FAST!") Bit of a back story, for those that don't know, I have 2 old cars that I work on almost every day, a '55 Desoto Firedome and a '64 Mercury Marauder. The kid actually helps with what he can, which is usually turning the key off or handing me tools. I recently starting dating a fella that has his own collection/yard full of cars. We pulled "the green car" out today because we're swapping engines on it tomorrow and the kid went ballistic begging to take a ride in it. ..Seriously..how could we say no? This is the only image I got of the kid on the first ride, look closely and you can see a huge grin on his face Also, here's the video. Ignore the front yard, there's a thievin junk yard dog here named Leroy that likes to snag random things and car parts from other folk's yards. You may want to turn your volume down a little bit, my phone apparently has a crazy mic on it. http://youtu.be/S9RokooUVaA I'm one proud momma right now.
It's been a little over an hour since he went and he just now calmed down about talking about it. I think he's hooked
Thanks for sharing Lizzie. Nothing like teaching them young. My wife went by Lizzie when I was a trucker and had CB radio. But that's nuther story. Good luck with your son and hotrod boyfriend. Maybe you can train ole Leroy to bring home complete cars.
