Through some creative trading, a new project found its way into the garage. Its a brookville 31 roadster with some custom touches. Its had the subrails in the back modified to fit the 32 frame, 40 ford dash molded into it, deck former around the top, custom floor for the model a rear crossmember, some work on the wheel wells, and modified the rear for a 32 gas tank. Its sitting on a gorgeous original 32 ch***is, modified to lower the front of the model a body, perfect k member, model a rear cross member, modified model a front crossmember, unsplit 32 bones in front, with what i believe is a mor drop axel, and a flathead with 39 box. Plans are building up the flathead, run the 39 box, quick change in rear, run a 32 tank, rebuild the brakes, 32 shell, custom hood already made that has been stretched to fit, and drive it. Looking for something to have fun in and not worry about a paint job getting messed up! Just thought i would share some pictures. Thanks

Man, you must have had some good stuff to trade!! Cool find, I like the 40 dash. Plans sound cool too.

Let me just be the first to say you ****!!
OK just kidding nice score. I have an original 30 roadster I have been collecting parts for and hope to start on this winter. For my frame I have a set of ASC rails and model a corssmember front and rear, 40 bones front and rear with a 40 rear end also have a Mordrop axle. I have a rebuilt 53 Flattie and an S10 ******. Havent decided about the gas tank yet. The project came with a new stainless tanks for inside the trunk but kinda hate to give up the room. Will be spinning on 16 steelies and blackwalls. I will be watching your build for ideas. Good luck.

Update on the roadster. Got the ch***is back from thunder road (thanks to zack and pat in mansfield) all mocked up. Found a restored 37 ford banjo rearend complete with wishbones and torque tube that has been shortened to mate to the 39 trans mounted in the original location of the k member. Reversed the eyes in the rear leaf and added the original 37 shocks to the rear. Up front i used my okie adams chrome axel, wilson welding lincoln brakes, unsplit 32 bones, and rare roto flo shocks. Had to give the drag link an arch to clear the bones but turned out nice. Got the new flathead ready to drop in soon. Got the body back on and been tweeking here and there. Got the schroeder box in, and had to move the gauge panel up an inch to make more room for the 40 ford column and wheel. Custom hand formed a blister to cover it on the outside. Added a brookville 32 cowl vent, louvered the deck lid, custom dropped the headlight bar and added nos 32 commercial headlights, arched the front spreader bar, and now need to figure out some taillights. Hopefully ready for the road this summer.

    Jeff,
I guess you don't have to keep me informed of your progress while I'm here in beautiful southern FL. I'll just be watching this thread. Lookin good.
