26/27 Decklid

I am having trouble locating a decklid for my car, and was told at a show recently to build my own. I am new to this hot ridding thing and was hoping someone here may have done this already and be able to offer advise and/or ***istance.

Drawings, parts list or rough ideas are all welcome. I am not totally opposed to building the decklid and panel below into one piece either.
