hello fello hambers..i see alot of people buying the notch kits.could i use 2x4 tube to make the notch out of or is there issues with that..i was just wondering because i have plenty of the tubing left from a frame i built
I wouldn't do it if your trying to get the car to go as low as it can and if your running the leafs ( you get constant force from bolth sides of the frame with the notch in the middle ) all notch's are a lot of work on these cars why skimp On the notch on the other hand you can do it but I would be careful how deep you go into the frame no more than a third maybe less I've seen the quarters buckle more than once So I would recommend doing a lil more than just the c may be some side plate reinforcement action if you want to discuss this further feel free to call me 408 561 5744 I had a customer in the past have us notch a 54 like this he didn't want to spend the 140 for our notch and the lil extra in fab time it would take to install I told him the risk of the " C " notch and wouldn't let us reinforce it we'll he buckled bolth quarters fast forward had someone else buy a notch from us ( was to imbarased to do it him self ) and install it Thanxs Alex Ps there will be some that say it will work or I've done it BUT how hard do they drive there car if they even drive it
^^ some things are worth spending the money on. Like good toilet paper, q tips, and of course a c notch
thanks thats why i asked..i have no problem spending the money just wanted to know so i didnt have problems later on..how do i see your products Alex?can u send me some info on what all products u have.
