I bought a 1927 Ford Model T and I know this question has already been asked, but here goes. She doesn't have an original engine, or chaissis. Just a body. How would I ***le this car? No idea what state the car originally came from, purchased from a friend and he has no clue what I should do seeing as he had no ***le either. I appreciate any help as I am at a loss as to what I should do. Thank you so much!!!!

Sure thing. Now post up a build thread once you get going.

Oh yeah MAKE SURE you get a bill of sale when you buy the body. It will make life much easier as you move through the process of getting things registered.

I already have the body and ch***is purchased (the ch***is was rebuilt by my friend, so that's where the VIN issues are coming from, plus no engine, he didn't save any VINs.). I am currently having a new ch***is built by Dominick Racecar Fabrication, here in Pittsburgh, by my boyfriend and the owner of the shop. Then, I will have a professionally made ch***is ready for street and drag, whichever I choose. I'm so excited!!!

  6. Model T's use the engine number as a VIN. I don't think any of them have a ch***is number stamp, or if they do it's only the very last year or so.

The engine number was also stamped under the p***enger side of the car on the frame rail, which unfortunately is gone, and I haven't been able to find out what years they did that. If I had that I'd be pleased! So much frustration from such a simple thing... Not sure what I got myself into. I really do appreciate all the help!

The engine number was stamped on the p***enger side frame rail starting in late 1925 for the 1926 and 1927 model years ONLY. Many cars have a body number stamped either on the front seat base or the right side floor board riser, but these were ***igned by the body builder and have no relation to Ford engine numbers
