This was my dad`s 33 Ford Truck that we used to run around the farm when I was a kid . The cab, bed, doors, fenders, etc. are real bad . I took it down to the frame and started over and did the major bodywork to the cab, but decided along the way that a fancy street rod bored me and decided to jalopy, old school it without chopping it up . Maybe some stenciling on the doors , mags or wide white walls , and I have hand cut cedar from my tree I cut down and made boards out of to build a minor stake body look out of the bed pockets on a taper to transition the high cab , so it doesn`t look so much like a "top hat " and also for the bed flooring . The engine is also my dad`s BOSS 302 that was in pcs and needed a ton of work , so I ended up making it into a 333 cu. in.stroker with around 500+ HP . Thoughts ? Anybody with some extra 33 parts [bed, fenders, running boards, etc.] drop me a line .

  2. AWESOME!!!

    Great vehicle, and great story!

I'm glad to see that you kept it in the family. :)

I would probably go a different way with the wheel/tire combo, but it's yours...enjoy!

Looking good so far! I would probably sell the centerline wheels and put some steelies on there with cheater slicks in the back and skinnies on the front.

Wow, you Oley guys really know how to do it right...looking good. Yeah, ditchin' those Centerlines will make all the difference in the world. I dig that primo '34 grill. Are you doing standard or automatic?

Looks like a 5 or 6 speed manual in there to me.

    I don't believe you.
You said that the cab, bed, doors and fenders were really bad.
They either are in really great shape or you did a really great job on repairs.
    Which is it?;)

Thanks for all the comments. Yeah it`s a Tremec TKO 600 5 speed trans. and the Centerlines are just on for the building process , and I`m going with Steelies . I`m just not sure what width and offsets with the wheels and on what tires to go with so I can get fenders back on it ? I welded cab corners, floor, back section , rocker panels, and a new firewall, that`s why the cab looks decent. Soon time to start on the other body panels.

Hows the progress? Did you use an original front cross member or model A style? Looks great!

Looks like a good start to me. Very nice work. I have some parts if interested. I have a set of front fenders that need work, running boards that are ok but need a patch on each. The hard parts to find are doors and rear fenders. I have doorpeices if needed but the rear fenders are rare as hens teeth unlees you want fibergl***. You may be a step ahead to work the rear fenders you have. Good luck!
