Happy Monday from FORMER Honda mechanic!

Discussion in 'New to the H.A.M.B.? Introduce yourself here!' started by thecarfarmer, Aug 29, 2005.

  1. Hi Everyone,

I've stopped here at the HAMB a few times over the last year or two, and kinda' dig the vibe here.

It's good to know that other folk who are into cars with carburetors, drum brakes, generators, and point ignitions - I'm not the only one.

Current projects languishing while I try to get my garage built include:

'54 Dodge 1/2T P/U (383/727, tunnel ram, stall convertor, other dumb crap)
'54 Chrysler New Yorker 4d (was purchased as donor car)
    '76 Kellison Formula Vee
    '70 Duster (318-4V, 727, 8-3/4 - kinda' followed me home one day)

Progress moves slow. You know the saying about 'money but no time, or time but no money'; well I got damn little of either.

Anyway, here I am - let the hazing begin.

    Bill

Welcome from another FNG. I have been lurking around here for a while too. This site is loaded with so much information it is unbeliveable.

  3. Amen to that!

So much here that it's a little hard to know where to begin.

Welcome, Do you ever race the Vee?

  5. Yeah, but only in my dreams.

It's in pieces in a shed, along with about half a '48 Dodge coupe.

I've been embroiled in the 'soap opera' of a tractor operator who'd rather smoke weed than do the site prep for my garage addition.

After the garage is up, the FV is going to go together as a sixties-style car with an appropriate 1200 (and I have a 1600 I may abuse in it at the drag strip for giggles).

But, first I need to also put another 383 together for the pickup; the last one suffered multiple malfunctions when acceleration forces caused a missed shift.

    It never ends, does it?

    Bill over and out.

I've worked on a few Hondas myself, but never quite found the enjoyment of the new technology. Thank GOD for oldies to bang far less knuckles on.
