these pics pretty well show it = Someone on the HAMB from[Texas] I think posted these pics[ of their own car] a while back, I just saved them,so here ya go....
these backgl***'s are being reproduced in laminated gl*** that can be trimmed down. amazing what a inch or two does for proportions. if you lay it down like a 51 merc or chev hardtop shaving the bottom corners help retain the original belt mouldings
Yes the 53 150 came from factory with smaller rear window, im looking for 150 sedan chop pics using that smaller factory gl***, thanks
Here is one I did chop myself, for [Luke Forsberg]-formerly a wide rear gl*** car that I chopped and used a 49 window opening to convert to the small gl*** look....
Here is a 53 150 with a chop and lots of pics. Chop comes after the suspension .. Hope this helps.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=7180901 Does anyone know the size difference between a 150 rear window and 49-52 rear window? Are they the same width just taller or all together different? Also does size very from 4dr to 2dr on non 150 cars? Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I think the gl***es are both the same, memory serving -I remember there were two different roof skin lengths[coupe/sedan] though .
Looks to me like you could do it just like a 49 to 52 coupe chop. Take the belt molding off and cut it at the seam leaveing about 8"s in the center connected and lay it down, thats how I did my 52 and worked out fine. I would post a pic but not at my puter now, but you can look at the build thread (new to me 52 chevy) and see it I think.
I guess this is the difference .. Bought back gl*** was told it was 49-52 Chevy rear gl*** and bought frame from diff guy same year.. I think the gl*** is coupe gl*** and frame is sedans frame.. I guess I'll be modifying the frame Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
