Anybody have any pics of the drivers compartment need some ideas to put my junk mostly the shifter Thanks
here are some detail shots of Roland Leong's 1964 HAWAIIAN dragster The trans is a 39 Cad / LaSalle 3 speed box using second and third gear only Gear shift lever.....all the way in....second gear.....all the way ....high gear There is a thread from 2011 called One More For Frank Morawski with a lot more shots..............hope this helps
Here is an old picture of my dragster, kinda hard to see details but this is the best shot I have of the cockpit
Cars in the trailer right now but I have a B&M rachet mounted to the tailshaft and a link rod to a handle mounted to the rear end housing and a push rod to the reverse lock out. Its 1 hand opperational and the shift handle always returns to the same spot on both upshift and downshift and can never shift from low to neutral unless you start in high gear to begin with.
Do a search for Butterfly steering wheel picture thread and you will find many pages of pics of dragster cockpits.
Henry's NHRA approved welded aluminum can, C-T gas pedal, Fuller butterfly steering wheel lacking the wood grips all this within the frame rails created by Jim Keeter and Dad back in late '63
If you are looking for a place to put your junk in a FED, most of them require you to rest it on the differential!
