I posted a question and got yelled at to intro myself So I am new here and I do not presently have a ride, I am interested in a 40 standard 2 dr as a good car for me and the family. My intentions would be to 50's hot rod it with improvements to the brakes and lowering it. I would like to retain the original front end design maybe loos a spring or two, use a dropped axle to get me where I want to be, and out back reconfigure the springs to lower the ass end too. I have been reading the posts here for some time and they move soooo fast it is hard to keep up. thanks for a great forum and replys to my post. Greg

G'day there Greg. Good luck with your search for a 40 sedan - they're a good first rod - always have been, always will be. I recall there are a few for sale in the Classifieds section. Cheers.

I found a '40 it is a solid original car I would be the third owner, the guy I am getting it from got it from the original family that bought it new, can you believe that, I have seen the paperwork and it is true.... I am amazed at the condition of this car, it was inside storage since new. It is oxford blue flatty stock, stock, stock!!!!!I will try to figure out how to post some pix. it is stored in the back of a wood-working shop so it has a heavy coating of saw dust on her, luckily it is closed up so there is none inside. Thanks for the warm welcome from all over the world, I love this site I have gained a boatlead of knowledge just in reading the posts. I'm lerking now but I will get active when the car arrives, won't be for a bit I am building a garage and the owner of the car is cool with waiting for a while, besides it is sno-pocolyps right now.......
