I'm finishing a car that I need a compact 12v horn , suggestions on types , dealers . Many thanks ! Mick
I used one on my model A that was from a Dodge mini van, if I remember correctly. It was a dual horn setup, but I only used the one horn, and it sounds pretty good. Hook up to only one side of a dual horn setup with power for the sound test. If you only use one, it isn't that big.
Harley Davidson. Don't remember what specific year range or model it was but the mid 90's Dyna's ran a horn under the battery box. They are about 3" diameter and an inch or two tall. I'll look up the specifics tomorrow at work.
Ya beat me to it. I once used a motorcycle horn on my 32 Chevy. It fit perfectly in the crank hole in the bottom of the grille. Only needed one. Plenty loud. .bjb
I used the horns off a '60's Ford Country Squire wagon. They're made outta metal (unlike todays plastic horns) and I wired them through a relay. They're only a couple of inches in diameter, maybe 2" thick and VERY LOUD!
i hate to say harbor freight around here but they have a very small horn call a bad boy horn very compact but loud as hell for like 20 bucks put them on everything scares the **** out of everybody!!!
