    Great looking '41-

Here's a little more eye candy for you... This is the 230 I built for my old '50 Plymouth.

A little hop up on the old six and an overdrive, and you will be good to go anywhere-

Blueskies - that's sick too. Definitely dig the head and bolts you chose. Very cool.

Exterminator - I know how the bills thing goes. Just don't get rid of it!!

Finally getting some parts in - thanks to Gambino for the uprights, and Butch's Cool Stuff for the disc brake kit, dual m/c and dropped rear leafs! If you're an Alliance member, the hook up is even better.

Let the games begin! Hope to have the front done in a few weeks, then slap the rear springs in when they arrive (in 6-8 wks :()

Horns and mount plates look good eh?

Anyone have experience with the bushings in the control arms of these? Per Plymouth manual, they thread in but you have to maintain a certain stretch of the distance between the ends....

This is a nice car and it appears to be in great shape. For some reason the big 3 all showed up on the market with nice looking automobiles. Those lines are still a classic today to me.

Love it. I still have a soft spot for 41 P12 Plymouth coupes after nearly 60 years.

Had one and put red ram in it in 1955. Big mistake for an 18 year old kid. Too many mistakes in the conversion. Used the original engine mount location which put engine too far forward not leaving enough room for a fan.

Wish I could find it now though.

Looks like a small block Mopar might be a good choice. Love the red rams look though, but way short on power without big money.

Good luck with the way you go.

Hey Zkilla just found this thread while lurking and had to post, Josh (chromerat) is my best Buddie, i have worked on that Plymouth ALOT, i was there when he found it, when he first brought it home and i have even drove it multiple times.

great to see its in good hands. I was gonna help him do a straight axel gasser build on it but he just has to many projects. Good luck and im anxious to see how this goes!!!!

Very nice! Please don't put radials on it. Just get used to the bias plies, they look KILLER. And can be driven on no matter what anybody says, I do it daily.
    Radials are... blah..

    I love these 41's.

M44 - I have nothing but good things to say about Josh - he was great to deal with on this car and I'm glad I can give it a good home.

Initially I had plans to do a few small things and then trade/sell for something else, but shortly after getting the Plymouth I fell in love haha - I think it's mine for good now.

I've thought of going gasser with the car but have decided to stick with the stock(ish) front end - dropped uprights and shock relocate and we're good to go!

Hemiken - thanks for the compliment.

51streamliner - I may just have to stick with the bias - they do look killer!

As for updates, not much to report - now that the holidays are through though it's time to thrash. Hopefully have some good progress reports/pics within a couple weeks. I've been mainly picking things apart, cleaning, and designing a custom upper shock mount. Thankfully I have access to stuff like laser cutters, press brakes, etc., so I think I come up with a pretty cool shock mount that looks like it was meant to be there!

The hubs in the pictures from when I first got the car are original I believe. They are somewhat beat up, but still in fairly good condition and could be easily fixed up.

I'm still torn on keeping them, but in the meantime I got the spider caps from Kelly's. I like both looks, so maybe I will alternate them :D

I'm pretty sure he didn't mean hubcaps.....:)Hubs that go on the spindle would be more like it.

Spider caps are the bullet style center caps with a cover that has 5 additional mini bullet cap covers too that are all joined together, is this what you have ?
