  1. Hi All,
I have been lurking for a while, but have finally joined as a way to kick start myself on finishing my 49 dodge pickup truck. It is starting to look good, and I hope to make some progress with it this winter.

I will post some photos as soon as I get some scanned.

The dodge has a 350ci SBC that was bored .030 over and built with a fairly agressive comp cam. It has a TH350 tranny and a 12 bolt posi chev rear end. The top has been chopped 4.5 inches in the front and 3.5 inches in the rear. The interior is 20+ year old mohair bench seat. I cut the mount brackets off it and mounted the seat straight to the floor. I am in the process of welding the top back on now. I plan on running a black base coat with glossy white into green scallops.

I have no fancy parts, and I am trying to keep within the theme of an old skool work truck. I have been looking for old magazines and books to try to keep with the theme of the times. Any input is appreciated.

Welcome to the board. What are you going to do at the wheels?

  3. I was leaning towards some steelies with bullet caps and some wide whites. I want the old Bonneville push truck look for it.

I just put some photos up on my site, but I have not put the current photos up yet. I would like to have the site surrent by next weekend.
