I have a question. I'm in the process of removing all the 1/4 window wood and I'm stuck with the B pillar. I removed all the tacks on the inside of the window channel and all screws. Next I removed all the tacks on the inside of the upper door jam. Why does this wood not wanna move? Everything else came out pretty easy. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Sounds like you want to chop the wood and the metal separately.... sounds like a critical job. why not chop them together? Leave the wood in the metal? I will follow this thread.............
There are two screws in the 'B' post wood that are between the the post and outer skin you can't get them out unless you take the outer skin off ie the whole rear quarter or the easier way is to chip away at the wood. Hope this helps
Thanks HotRodHoon I figured there had to be something inside there. Looks like its getting hacked where it is.
Here's a link to how I did mine. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2989872#post2989872 Rich
Pete, I went through this same headache with my boss's A. I ended up having to chip the wood out and then cut the screws off. I wasn't about to fuck with taking the outer skins off. Hope the coupe is coming along nicely! Clint
