Have a new build installed disc brakes on my 54 ford f-100.Having trouble with the front brakes sticking or not releasing. Have the proportional valve turned all the way out. Still having problems. Any tips please. The brake pedal set up is mounted on the frame rail. The calipers came with the front end from TCI
Does your push rod at the pedal have a little play? What size and type master cylinder are you using?
Are you using a drum brake redidual valve ? Those are 10 psi,....Way too much for disc. Also, with a firewall master cyl, you really won't need any residual check valve. 4TTRUK
First step is to crack bleed screws to see if that makes it release. If it does then after they're stuck again loosen the brake line before the flex hose. That will tell you if it's the flex. Continue that procedure all the way to the master if necessary Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Can we have more information? What parts combination are you using? What are the calipers, master cylinder? Just asking there may be more to it! Thanks Rod
