I received a phone call this weekend concerning the Krawl. I could tell right off, the guy was just after a trophy. I tried to explain why the Krawl was not your typical show and we don't have trophy cl***es for different types of cars, (Mustang, Corvette etc..,). He then asked "why would you have a car show?" Again I tried to explain...We are trying to re-live the 50's & the early 60's, you know, before the music died. It is basically a kool Kustom & Hot Rod family Reunion. For some reason this ticked the guy off, he said that he didn't believe in that kind of "Bull ****" I just laughed, said Happy Trails and hung up the phone. Renee was in the room when I was talking to the gentlemen and I told her for now on, if we get a call from a person (aka Trophy Hound) all you have to say is "Sorry, No Dogs Allowed." Nuff said...

Here is my shameless promotion concerning this years "KRAWL"

The last four years Gary Glasgow from Night Prowlers held an open house the first weekend in October. Over the past couple of years, participants that were at the open house wanted Gary to turn it into an actual car show. This is our attempt to give it a shot………….

October 8 & 9, 2005 Lamar, Missouri ...."STRAY KAT KRAWL"..... First 100 entries will receive an event Mechanic shirt & a door prize, All entries will receive: Dash Plaques, live entertainment, door prizes and the rest of the usually show stuff.

Friday evening feed and Open House at Fast Eddies Hot Rod Shop in Lamar.

Saturday Highlights: We will have two bands perform this year, The Poison Okies and The Silvermens, To get an idea what to expect check out the Silvermens web site. http://www.thesilvermen.com/SoundSamples.htm

If anyone cares, the trophies will be p***ed out Saturday afternoon. The Stray Kat pick this year is way too kool. If I get it completed in time, I'll post a pic.

Sunday morning breakfast Cruise to one of the koolest salvages in the country. Salvage? I call it Heaven.

    Pre-entry fee $20 / Additional $5 after Oct 1,2005.

Last week the Host hotel only had twelve rooms left. Super 8 1-417-682-6888.

"Old Dawgs" turn into Stray Kats.

I hadn't been able to teach an Ol' Trophy hound new tricks.

    Can it be done?

Last years Stray Kat 500 I was boycott'd by a Trophy Hound club in Ks.
I just got over the trama and now this happens.

I don't know if I'll get over it. He, He, He, He.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

    Your Snail '31 Sedan?

I saw the snail run at MoKan. Over 100 Mph is not what I consider a snails pace, but what do I know look what I drive.

  8. So should I go under the ***umption to NOT rely on blocked rooms for the hotel and book mine NOW!?!?!:p

Big bad Vern's car is singing to the sound of the open road and readily looking forward to "Krawlin" up there.

I know yer not, but don't let those goldchainers get to ya. I much prefer "real" rods at a show versus show cars. If they have a problem, THAT'S THEIR PROBLEM! I am all for folks fixing up the whatever of their dreams, but some (mustangs, mini-truckers, corvettes, etc) just DO NOT BELONG at a StrayKat event.

All right Mick...move over lemme at 'em. I'm hungry and I just opened a kan of "you know what":)

PM me sometime, talk to ya soon,
    Rev

  9. Hey Mick, I reread this thread and I didn't see mention of the Drive In movies. Is that still a go??? I sure hope so.

What ride are ya bringin to the git down? Bring the 60, I like it best...right now.:)

think we had that same guy call about greaserama- or his brother. when i told him we made 'a few awards out of old parts', he said 'homemade trophies, huh?' like i was tryin' to sell him a dog sh*t sandwich. i told him he may want to take his camaro somewhere else...

  12. You start sounding like that and Vern's gonna get on his SOAPBOX!!! Remember, he already made his maiden trip that far.

We're gonna have a great time.

    Mick, you still out there???
