Saw the guys running the bikes at the HAMB drags and I thought THEY were crazy.

It was great. Nanook is amazing, the Swindler's had a neat little digger, and we heard a few good cackle fests. God, I love the smell of nitro in the morning.

Hey "Old Beet"....I am the fella across the "mamouth" Lake Goodwin that drives the 'green 51 Ford pickmeup shop truck! So....haven't the Arlington Reunions been fantastic? But.......when are we gonna get them to just quit firing the old rigs, and let us run the track again? It would be such a blast to have the Strip back. I remember back when they ran there. They have been trying to get 1/2 Moon Bay track in California back for a bunch of years, but EPA, noise, safety, traffic, and every other thing that peeps can throw up as road blocks seem to prevent it! It would probably truly give me the inspiration that I need to get my old iron out there running! Sure, I could go to S.I.R.- excuse me, P.I.R.... but to just be able to "prit-an-ear" kick it into neutral and coast to the track would be the ultimate! Arlington Airport would be such a fantastic place to run. I don't know how the airport could ever be pursuaded to look at something other than the winged flyers, and give us old rust metal a chance to fly at their airport!
Hey....your Merc. is lookin' schweet.......but I do miss not seeing the old '51 primer cruisin' the streets!

 

Cool, you found yer way here! The airport said we could race single pass's, but the FAA jumped in at the last minute and said NO! I'm sure they will lobby for next year.
