I have a 63 Riviera I bought recently and on the center console there is a tag that reads "Built expressly for" and there is a name underneath. Was this something that was nomally done or is this something that is special. Ive tried to google the name but I havent come up with anything.
You could buy those tags from the dealer or from JC Hwittney back in the '60s. It could have been a custom orderd car or it could just be a googa that someone put on it. Is it a car with rare or lots of options?
Wow that was quick, It has some options but I dont think it has anything extroardinary. Thanks for the reply porkn******.
This was an item from Buick. There was a card to fill out and send in to get your personalized tag. In '65 they said "Custom built for ____". It was a FREEBEE.
I have one on a 69 Lincoln MK3. Also had the original owners name on two small engraved plates on the door outside
Man, I've never had the fortune of being able to have a car "Built Expressly For" me. Oh well, maybe some day.
