Hi from downunder. My 1940 Flathead V8 has finally arrived here in Australia. It is fitted with Elco twin plug heads and a Nash twin 8 distributor mounted on a right angle drive. I have also collected a few NOS parts for this distributor which are very hard to find. This engine is going into my 1930 A coupe in the near future.
REALLY!!!!! REALLLLY!!! YOU LUCKY SON OF A ........GUN !!! i would love to drop that in my 50 ford......GOODLUCK with it....its gorgeous. drive the hell out of it....
Hi The engine is stock at present. I am presently working on what internals i will be running in the engine. Thanks Terry
Beautiful. Please explain the advantage of twin fire heads and how do the plugs actually fire into the cylinder. How is the cylinder head combustion chamber configuration different than the block? Just curious.
Beautiful looking engine. Super cool. Curious on your choice to run those double pulley truck water pumps?
Having never even seen double-fire heads before, I wonder what advantages do they confer - other than the obvious advantage of making you the coolest mo-fo in flatthead land!
