Was wanting to know if you can run a 10 inch tire on a 8 rim? Anybody have pictures of what this combo would look like. Some thing like in a cragar or halibrand wheel on a pie crust tire.

    Thanks

I'll see if I can find a pic to post, but I have 10" wide pie crust slicks on 15 x 8 wheel vintique steelies on the back of my roadster. I think the sidewall profile looks good. No problems mounting or balancing and they drive great. Car is in winter storage but I'll search my other pc for a pic.

  3. yeah you can run it it will just bubble the side walls

at least your not like me when i bought my o/t truck the previous owner put 15X10 rims on it with tires that should be on 15X8 rims looks stupid as hell im still looking for 2 wheels to correct it

I ran Firestone 10:00 X 15 slicks on 8 inch rims and they were a little narrow. Instead of the road surface area laying flat it had a little crown to it, and it took a lot of burnouts to flatten them down. :p

I am now running 8 inch slicks on 7 inch rims on my new project and they lay much flatter.

Here you go. See what I mean about them not laying flat ?

You can see how much flatter the 8 inch slicks lay on a 7 inch rim.

Thanks, Guys. I have been trying to decide between 15x8 or 15x10 rim on a 10 inch pie crust tire combo. Those radir really look good.

Found a pic. Sorry it doesn't show the sidewall bulge better.
