I was born in Detroit and raised on a small farm between Frankenmuth, Vassar and Millington. I graduated from Millington High School in 1961, got my Assoc in Mechanical Technology in 1965 from Delta College, my BS in Mech Engrg Tech in 1969 from Saginaw Valley State University.
I married my wife, Doreen, in 1963 and we have three children, none of which live in Michigan. We also have seven grandchildren.
I am an engineering professional with over thirty (30) years of practical experience in manufacturing, tooling and product design. Over 22 years experence with major automotive suppliers. Responsibilities have included machine design, new process development, lean manufacturing, continuous improvements and quick change-over. Tool, die and fixture design and design of mechanical equipment and products. Customer and vendor liaison. Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing and databases. CAD and computer literate. I am semi-retired, I work three days a week for a manufacturing company in Holland, Ohio.
I have lived in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Mississippi and Pennsylvania and moved back to Michigan in 2005.
My wife & I have lived in Morenci since early 2005 and we do not have any relatives within 100 miles of here.
I have many hobbies and interests, my primary one being old cars, currently my 1960 Corvair.
