I'd like to convert my '51 gmc doors to one piece gl*** using 1950 windows.

I am going to use an after market electric register. Looks like all I need to do is remove the metal separation between the main window and the wing wing...and replumb the felt, channels ets.

    What am I missing?

Remove the metal strip, Get the front metal c channel from a 50 door. Put in felt and window. You may need the regulators from the 50 also.

  3. Yes, you need something to guide the front of the gl***

Yep, you need the regulators too. Needs longer roller arms or the gl*** will be "nose" heavy and bind in the channels.

The older gl*** is laminated and thicker, too.
