It is still a week away, but so far the local weather is calling for mid 70's for the show. This weekend is going to be 82 degrees! Sorry to all the HAMBer's that are still looking out the window at that cold ,white stuff! California ****s in many ways but the weather is hotrodder's paradise. Enjoy the show everyone!
Just found out I can get up there Friday night and Saturday, but it looks as if all the surrounding hotels are full. Any ideas or hookups, anyone?
see you there.. some friends from over here, got a room friday at this hotel! check it out! -palle American Inn & Suites 310 E Foothill Blvd Pomona, CA91767 USA
I just booked a room at the Shilo inn. They had a few a rooms available and the price was good. Good reviews here and on the interweb.
From an ex Pomona resident, Shilo inn is a pretty safe bet. Heading West, there are a couple motels off the 10 Fwy. West Covina and Covina, Holiday Inn, Residence Inn, and Emb***y Suites. Grew up right off of that stretch, not a bad area, and a couple decent places to eat near by. Hope ya'll have fun.
we'll be there with Hotrod Garage, from the S.F. Bay area with a '38 Chevy Cabriolet http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=665118
haha...prolly not, but i'll be at the hamb meet 'n kiss at the suede palace 1pmish....at least i'll try to be.
Hi again guys. I will be driving over from Calabasas CA on Sunday and was wondering what the best exit to take to get to the parking? Directions from the exit would be really nice. The one other time I was there, I sat in line for over an hour to just get in to park. Possibly that is the way it is, but I would like to miss a bit of the sitting in line. Planning on heading over early. Doug
The normal way is the 10 East to Fairplex drive, go up the hill and follow the directions, probably sit in a bit of traffic. So two better options, Go Past Fairplex to White Ave. Turn Left and got to parking lot gate 9 on your right. Less traffic usually this way. Take the 10 to the 57 North, exit Arrow Hwy, turn Right - take that to White, turn right, gate 9 will be on your left. Also light traffic comparatively
Kustombuick and I are flying out on Thurs along with some others. His shop painted a 39 chevy that is debuting there. Got to get there early to get my 2XL "Chinese Takeout Support Shirt". Looking forward to seeing the clubs new ride (John's I ***ume)
