Original flat head was 70 hp. Iron Duke is 120 hp. I will rule at the gas pump. This is temp till I can find a Dodge baby hemi.
Nothing is temporary trust me. Your build sounds a little off the mark to me but what do I know. If it makes you happy it tickles me plum to death.
the search feature here and google are your best friends. there is a lot of info on this site, also try www.p15-d24.com <---- click here. cavalier power r&p is the one to use, sunfire if you want manual steering.disc brake brackets are available from several suppliers right here on the HAMB. what year iron duke had 120 hp? my 1979 454 had 150hp i think.
I put disk brakes up front of my 41 Plymouth, I had a 230 flathead in it out of a 49 dodge truck. I used Brake Tech solutions, and would not hesitate to use them again. I sent them my spindles, they did all the machining, and assembly and shipped them back. I dis-assembled so I could see any changes. There where none. I used fat man fab dropped uprights. I think the tech article is. "Stop Drop and Roll". I did not change the steering, but if I had, I would have called a buddy Dave B from Unisteer. He was an engineer at Flaming River, and knows his stuff., Unisteer is 20 min from me, and they will fab so they can offer the kit. 1 more thing. I used ECI's BellCrank system because the disk brakes. I needed a M/C, and the peddle travel needed multiplied. This whole thing was a bolt in setup with no glitches. While my spindles where getting machined, I was cleaning parts, and intalled the uprights. If everything was present, it would have been a weekend job. depending on your mechanical ability. oh ya 1 more thing. If you choose to use dropped uprights, depending on your engine weight difference, you may need to heat and bend the arms where the tie rod ends mount on the spindles. But if your going with a lighter engine, a 2 inch dropped upright may only yeild and inch or so, which wont require anything
