My name is Tom, I just joined the H.A.M.B. I have been on here numerous times as a guest, and found some great information. My dad got me introduced to cars at an early age, in fact, I cannot remember really being interested in much else beside automotive or women ( both can cost a lot of money at times, but so nice). My dad always had a 1936 Oldsmobile sitting in the garage that he would tinker with. Since then we have built numerous cars together, many 73-79 Ford trucks, 1956 F100, 1967 Camaro, 1965 Mustang fastback, 1969 GTO convert, 1969 Mustang, just to name a few. My family is diverse in that we had members work for all of the "Big Three". So, my taste is American History and Muscle. I tend to lean more toward Ford because my Dad, Grandpa and Uncle all worked for them. I am a Fabricator, Welder and Test Tech during the day, and do Auto Restoration when I have time on the side. I just recently sold My Mustang, and decided to keep our Bronco because my wife and I and our 4 kids could still ride together in it. But....I ended up finding a deal on a 1952 F6 Cab and front clip that I couldn't p*** up. My wife and I have always liked old Fat Fendered Pickups, and I figure it will be fun to build one from scratch and pieces. I am starting out with a 1978 Camaro front sub, and building a tube ch***is off of that. Scored a free Narrowed 9" and after looking at the roof and doors, I am thinking it will get a 3" chop.
