  1. I just found this dash plaque in a box of old pins and medallions. Does anybody have any information? Reads Int.Motor Contest ***'n Registered Car. 3 x 2". Made of br***. Most of the other items were from the 30's & 40's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A search for IMCA brings up the International Motor Contest ***ociation at the very top.

Ask on the vintage sprint car thread.

  10. That dash plaque is in great shape! I remember as a kid back in the 50's the IMCA held sprint car races in the midwest, mostly state and county fairs. My dad would take me and after the race we would go in the pits and I would look at every car I could. I think they all had to be a IMCA member to race, and a plaque would be on the dash. The IMCA is still around, the last address I have is 1800 West D street, in Vinton, Iowa 52349 Phone# 319-472-2201 Not sure how currant that is, but I used that number in 2007. I hope that helps. Bob
