A coupe interior-Where do you put the seams?

I am planning out my '31 coupe interior and trying to figure out the best sight lines for putting seams in the rear corners. Doesn't seem that I can make the entire quarter-back quarter out of one solid run. The back corners,at least at the upper 1/3 have the possibility of curves rather than 90 degree angles. I am planning on using ABS sheet s the backing.

So, if you've done, or seen this, where do the seams go? Three possibilities I have thought of would be -
    1. At the rear of the quarter, jut before the bend/curve and then picking up the curve with the rear panel
    2. Including the bend/curve with the rear quarter panel and having the seam at the edge of the rear window-the back panel just being flat.
    3. Including the bend/curve with the rear quarter panel but ending where the curve hits the back panel-making the flat back panel extend all the wall across the back.
Advice, options and especially photos would be greatly appreciate. Thanks.

I made my panels from PVC sheet it was easy to use and bends well with gentle heat. I did the joints on the rear window and on the door jamb.
I will post up a couple of pics shortly

ok, heres the interior on my coupe. the white panel is one that i did but it snapped on the bottom edge, i think it was because i didnt warm it up enough.

The interior shot shows how the panels meet up around the rear window, they are pretty much straight panels.

hope this is what you are looking for, sorry if the pics are a bit crap they are from my cell phone.

That looks good, but you can also put the seam in the center. That is what I usually do.If you leave one side of the material hang long, the other side can be the finished side by overlaying it.Good luck Jack

I used 1/8" luan door skin wood. I cut the wood to a rough size, put it in the swimming pool overnite and bent it into the shape using the inside body as the mold. After it was dry I cut it to size. Here is a pic of it.

Looks great. Are the "belt" and the panel below that curved as well in the corner-or did you leave them squared?

It is square below the window. I made The window surounds in two pieces with a seam at the center of the rear window. Somehow the upholsterer covered them in one piece, looked real good.

I used Velcro to attach the rear quarter panels
also the panels above and below the rear window and over the door.
I used the heavy duty stuff not cheap stuff from the Dollar stores,
it sticks real good and takes some separating.
